Conor Maynard is a pop singer and songwriter from England. He rose to fame after winning MTV’s Brand New for 2012 award, and needed a 40-foot stage backdrop for his 2013 international festival tour, as he would be performing across Europe and North America.
We incorporated a recent promotional photo of the singer along with his logo, and layered them with textures, gradients, and transparencies to create depth and dynamism.
We had to ensure the design would be clear and distinguishable from multiple angles and distances in various venues, and adapt well within a multitude of lighting conditions and stage formations. We developed the banner using black only, creating maximum versatility for its use, by allowing the stage lighting to emphasize and accentuate the feel onstage during different parts of the concert.
The backdrop is visually impactful and conveys the musician’s style and personality while bringing dimension, interest and branding to the stage environment. The design has been used at multiple heights in a variety of stage environments and lighting situations, and has been seen by millions. (Hey, we’re practically famous!)
